If you reinstall your VPS server and your using a KVM solution plus you have additional IPs attached to your server then you need to configure your IPs inside your server for them to function. You can do this manually or automatically. This article deals with automatically setup additional IPs. Our system can setup your additional IPs on any supported Operating System. Any system you can install your VPS server with also has the ability to setup your IPs. This is achieved using the “Reconfigure Networking” feature.
Automatically setup additional IPs
If you make a mistake in your networking, and that prevents you from accessing your server you can also use this feature to reset the networking. This would allow you access again. You could also use the internal network to login and revert any changes made but using the reconfigure networking feature is the quickest and easiest.
Reconfigure Networking from the client area
To reconfigure your networking from the client area login to your account and click “Services” then “My Services” and select the server in question. You can also use the link https://account.first2host.co.uk/clientarea.php?action=services. At the bottom of the page click the “Reconfigure Networking” button. Allow 5 minutes for the system to write the configuration files in your server. The more IPs you have the longer it will take.

Reconfigure Networking from the VPS Control panel
You can also do this from the VPS control panel. Login at https://vps.first2host.co.uk and click “Manage” next to the VPS you would like to setup your additional IPs in. At the bottom of the next page click the “Reconfigure Networking” button to automatically deploy your IPs and Subnets.
