The cost of software that runs on servers is at a record high. In many cases where cPanel is used the software now costs more than the server it’s powered by. With the latest announcement that cPanel will increase the price of licenses in 2024, there is a need to protect the users who are being priced out of the software but who also want to continue using it. So, to help with this we’re introducing a new product called Shared cPanel Servers to directly help those people who are struggling with the cost of their software licenses.
With this type of product, owners can create a set number of “tenants” or cPanel accounts. The accounts an owner creates in WHM are assigned a cPanel account with all of the default software installed on the server. The cost of the software licenses that runs on that server is distributed between the owners. Helping to keep costs down.
Stable and secure
With any environment that is shared comes additional risks. Risks like a rouge website consuming too many resources. Or a vulnerability in a website that allows malicious users access to the site and in turn the server via a symlink race condition attack. We can protect against this by locking all owners and tenants inside their own, private virtual environment with dedicated IPs. Add in a low server:tenant ratio and active resource management, potential problems with another owner’s tenants won’t affect you or your tenants.
Protecting against equipment and network failures and keeping you and your tenants online is achieved with High Availability. Each shared cPanel server has the ability to failover to a different server in the same data centre. If that is not possible, the shared cPanel server will fail over to a different data centre in the same country. And finally, if that’s not possible a different data centre in a different country. With three fallback positions protecting you against local equipment issues, local and regional network problems and country-specific problems like war or natural disaster we can provide maximum resilience.

cPanel Shared Server Costs
For users with a cPanel Solo license please either contact us or choose one of our Shared NVMe Web Hosting plans. These include the same software and are also highly available but do not come with access to WHM.
We will provide a migration service for all users transferring in from another cPanel, Direct Admin or Plesk server. We will perform transfers in at any point for owners. All owners will need to register their IPs as nameservers at their registrar. Nameservers can be chosen at the point of ordering. As we are currently redeveloping our website, this information will be added as soon as possible.
